I visited Meghna Grill yesterday, and the experience was simply unforgettable. The South Indian food was the highlight – the dosas were crispy and authentic, and the pulicha fish had an incredible tangy flavor that stood out. The paneer tikka was smoky and soft, and the butter chicken masala was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. What impressed me most was the variety – from Kerala and Tamil Nadu specialties to Gujarati and Bengali flavors, Meghna Grill brings the taste of all of India under one roof. The food felt truly homely and satisfying. The restaurant also has a great bar setup and a relaxed, classy atmosphere, making it perfect for both casual meals and special outings. Came here for a late dinner. We were seated right away. As we sat down, we were given a complementary house beverage made of lemon, mint, and ginger which had a unique and tasteful flavor. We shared a chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, cheese naan, garlic naan, and a plain rice. The dishes were delicious. My favorite was the tikka masala - I asked for it to be spicy and it had a perfect level of spice and flavor. The butter chicken was rich in flavor as well. The cheese naan had a fantastic cheese pull. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely come back. ~ Erick O

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious- every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a relaxing evening out. Special thanks to Pratik, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I visited this Indian restaurant with my Mum and the dog on the 18th of May 4 days after it reopened. Yes we took the dog as they now have 2 tables outside (so fellow Dog people on a nice weather day you can go eat there with pooch). It is great to have it open again, it had been a very reliable local Indian restaurant for a long time so we wanted to go again after all this time of being closed and see how it is with the new ownership/menu. I must say, it is even better than before. The food we had was absolutely delicious, particular highlights/recommendations are the Onion Bhajiya with a yummy chuntey , the Lamb Kulambu curry with such a delicious flavoursome sauce and the Parotta bread perfectly flakey and moreish (in fact we ended up ordering second Parotta). So again, it's great to have Meghna are local down the road Indian restaurant back open, we will definitely be back and I am looking forward to trying some of the other new dish on the menu. Oh and not forgetting to mention the staff/service was very good as well. 👏🏼 😀 ~ Sam S

I was so happy to see this restaurant reopen - absolutely delicious food - me and a friend shared the Pollichathu Kerala Style fish starter - it’s slow cooked in banana leaves and was delicious - unlike anything I have had before. I had the sambar lentil stew which was so flavourful and my friend had the veg khoruna. I need to go back soon and try the dosa. Lovely decor inside and the service was so friendly and welcoming. I ate the naan, butter chicken, and mango lassi at Meghan’s India Restaurant, and everything was delicious. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with tender pieces of chicken. The naan was warm, soft, and perfect for dipping into the sauce. The mango lassi was refreshing, smooth, and nicely sweet, which balanced the meal really well. We came here for lunch and honestly the food was amazing. We got the lamb Kulambu and the Vegetable Jalfrezi. They were both so tasty. The breads though - oh myyy The paratha was the best any of us have ever had and that includes in India. The garlic naan was also so yummy, but the paratha was out of this world. The staff are really lovely and accommodating and they even asked us what spice level we would like each dish and then at the end of the meal gave us some cumin seeds to help with digestion. This is by far the best Indian in the area...yeah it's a little expensive but you get what you pay for. I'm not a loyal customer I'll try most places, but this really has always been the tastiest Indian consistently. We usually order take out but dining in is a must also. The food can be a little on the spicy side which I like but you can always have the spice tailored to your liking. Not once have I had a below 4 star experience here in 5 years! ~ Emily M

An Authentic Taste of India at Meghna Grill! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Meghna Grill Indian Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! Wanting to experience both Southern and Northern Indian cuisine, I tried the Curry Leaves Chicken and the Butter Chicken, along with a parotta. I can confidently say that this is one of the best and most authentic Indian restaurants in and around the area. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and showcased the distinct flavors of their regions. The Curry Leaves Chicken offered a delightful taste of South India, while the Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, a true Northern Indian classic. The parotta was also perfectly prepared. Beyond the incredible food, the service truly stood out. The staff and manager were incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to help me choose my dishes and even recommended the perfect wine to complement my meal. Their knowledge and hospitality made for a truly enjoyable dining experience. Meghna Grill is a must-try for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. We visited this Indian restaurant yesterday after it reopened after 5 years, and it was a wonderful experience. I went with my wife and kid, and we all felt very welcome. The place is kid-friendly and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved the biryani and butter chicken – both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I visited there for my birthday back in June, was treated by my family. I didn’t know it had reopened. Yes it was a regular restaurant we used for many years until it was flooded. We had a super take out dinner from Meghna Grill last night. So good to see this local restaurant open again & under new management. All our dishes were freshly cooked & wonderfully seasoned. Great food, can accommodate vegetarians and vegans too, very friendly staff, reasonably priced food. This is a great family run business under new management. We had dinner with some friends there the other day and it was amazing! Although we moved in the area a year ago, due to covid we haven't really discovered the restaurants of the area. The starters were crisp and tasty, and the curries were rich, aromatic, and perfectly cooked – you can tell they focus on fresh ingredients and proper Indian spices. The Meghna Grill served quite possibly the finest Indian food I have had in years, if not ever. The atmosphere was impeccable, as was the charm and attentiveness of the hostess and wait staff. Our table of six was served with promptness, courteousness, and a breezy je ne sais quoi. The food was delectable and sumptuously prepared. We will be back! ~ John C

I was surprised about how good the food was there. For St John's Wood, the prices are really low and still the quality was superb. A little restaurant with a nice atmosphere and really good Indian food. So if you're looking for Indian food in St John's Wood, this is the place to go! :) ~ Götz B

Finally.. AUTHENTIC Indian food!! Spicy & flavorful Keema peas, classic Aloo Gobi.. And even a killer King Prawn Phaal (OK that's a Brit creation..) All in all, real Indian /Bangladeshi food in a clean, crisp environment. (oh.. And their delivery service works well too) ~ Hinson N
